  Na' Neelzhiin Ji Olta', Inc. would like to thank all parents, students, and faculty for completing another successful school year.  We invite new parents, students, and staff members to visit our school.  We have the goal of providing the best opportunities for our students.

Every school year, we strive to provide our students with tools to succeed in life.  We promote and celebrate achievements in academics and life skills throughout the school year.  Students will be proud of their Navajo heritage.   10/01 : : NM Standards Based Assessment - The Na' Neelzhiin Ji Olta', Inc. (2007/08 SBA) results are now available for view. The Annual Yearly Progress represents the annual academic proficiency targets in reading and math that the state, school districts and schools must reach to be
considered on track with the federally mandated goal of 100% proficiency by school year 2013-14.

08/10 : : 2008/09 School Uniforms Required - The NJO Executive Board approved a uniform policy July 1, 2008. The purpose of the policy is: 1) Provide a safe school environment. 2) Encourage and develop a united school culture to enable students to experience a greater sense of belonging. 3) Encourage and promote positive student behavior. 4) Reduce school clothing costs by taking competition of dress out of the learning environment. 5) Encourage school wide participation in programs and activities. 6) Improve and expand time spent on academic excellence.

The following applies to all boys/girls K-8th grades.

Pants (boys & girls): Navy blue or khaki-tan: no jeans or baggies of any kind.

Shirts (boys & girls): Shirts with collars that are navy blue, maroon, light blue, or white. Button down shirt and/or polo shirts required.

*OPTIONAL >> Shorts/Skirts (girls): Navy blue or khaki-tan. Knee level and not baggy.

*OPTIONAL >> Jumper/Dresses (girls): Navy blue or khaki-tan.

*OPTIONAL >> Blouses (girls): Navy blue, maroon, light blue, or white.

The final decision on the appropriatemenss of dress will be the Principal. Navajo Clothing Inc. will provide uniforms as part of the clothing package. The NJO Parent Advisory Committee will accept donations of accepatable used uniforms at the school office. Make arrangements for picking up donated clothing.

 
     
   
 

The 2008/09 NJO Athletic Department welcomes our student athletes to our sports progarms. Our community and student body are excited about the upcoming sports schedules. Academic eligibility is enforced through the Four Corners Junior High League and here at NJO. Students should have updated physical exams returned to their coaches. Open sports this fall: Cross Country, Flag Football, Volleyball.

  Na' Neelzhiin Ji Olta', Inc. will notify KOAT-TV Channel 7 and KOB-TV Channel 4 concerning school closures due to bad weather and/or other emergencies. School Administration, Business Office Staff, Facilities, Security, and Custodial personnel should report to work during their regular hours during these closures.
